The bathroom had a persistent odd smell that was hard to ignore, despite appearing clean. For multiple-day stays, having wet towels due to the humid environment became uncomfortable, and the large clamps on the bed frame caused bruises when moving around. Noise from the family upstairs and other guests was disruptive, making it harder to relax during evenings and mornings.

The lodge sits in a remote area, perfect for tranquility. I loved the outdoor kitchen with a grill. it was fantastic to cook while surrounded by nature. Fresh bananas and macadamia nuts from the garden added a special touch to the stay. The spacious bathroom was a plus, allowing comfort, especially with two people. However, the noise from the family upstairs was disruptive during early mornings and evenings, making relaxation tough at times. The bed was softer than what I prefer, which led to some discomfort during the night. Despite this, the location's charm kept us exploring.

I had such a lovely stay with a warm, inviting atmosphere and clean spaces, making it the perfect base for exploring nearby amazing spots like Hiilawe Waterfall just about 3.5 km away and the breathtaking Waipio Valley Lookout a short 1.5 km walk from the lodge, which added so much to my experience! As a female solo traveler, I felt safe with the family's presence upstairs, adding just the right touch of comfort to my visit.

The outdoor kitchen was a great spot for grilling, and the lush garden with fresh fruits added a delightful touch! 🌿 The common areas offered a friendly ambiance, making it easy to chat with other guests.

While the location was wonderful, a bit more attention to room ventilation would enhance the experience.

The fresh macadamia nuts in the garden were amazing! 🥜 But the noise from the family above and outside guests made it tough to relax. Tents looked nicer too!

However, noise from the owner and other guests made it difficult to relax completely, leading to an early departure. The tents in the garden looked inviting, and next time, they might be a better choice for quietude.
